At Bo Lacey Construction, excellence isn’t just a goal—it’s a standard. And when two of our own earn national recognition from one of the most respected organizations in our industry, it’s a moment worth celebrating.
We’re proud to announce that Amy Copley and Houston Mills, two of our exceptional Project Managers, were honored by the Certified Contractors Network (CCN) in their 2024 National Additional Work Order (AWO) Contest.
These prestigious awards are more than just plaques on the wall—they’re proof that Amy and Houston are operating at the top of their field, earning industry-wide recognition for the care, consistency, and craftsmanship they bring to every project.
What is the Certified Contractors Network (CCN)?

CCN is a nationally recognized organization that provides training, support, and performance benchmarking for home improvement professionals across the United States. They help contractors elevate their business practices, streamline operations, and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
One of the ways they recognize excellence is through their National AWO Contest, which evaluates how contractors handle Additional Work Orders—unexpected changes or additions to a project after the initial agreement is signed.
AWOs are a true test of a project manager’s skill. They require communication, adaptability, budgeting accuracy, and client trust. Managing them well isn’t easy—and doing it exceptionally is worthy of national recognition.
Amy Copley — Double Winner, Category 7
Amy was recognized with two national awards in Category 7, which highlights excellence in managing complex additional work orders:
- Q4 2024 CCN National AWO Contest – Category 7
- 2024 Overall CCN National AWO Contest – Category 7
Her consistent leadership, detailed coordination, and proactive communication make Amy a standout on any project. These awards are a reflection of her ability to rise to the occasion—every single time.
Houston Mills — Double Winner, Category 5
Houston also earned two national awards, this time in Category 5, which honors project managers overseeing additional work orders with precision and excellence:
- Q4 2024 CCN National AWO Contest – Category 5
- 2024 Overall CCN National AWO Contest – Category 5
His calm, solutions-driven approach and hands-on leadership set the tone for success. The awards underscore his ability to manage changes in scope while keeping projects on track and customers informed.

Why These Awards Matter
The CCN AWO Contest recognizes top-performing contractors from across the country. To see both Amy and Houston take home quarterly and annual honors in their respective categories speaks volumes about the talent on our team.
At Bo Lacey Construction, we’re not just proud—we’re inspired. These awards are proof of what happens when excellence meets effort.
